Krystal Marie Ball

Krystal Marie Ball was born on November 24 in 1981. She is an American political commentator. She was previously a presidential candidate, as well as an anchor on television at MSNBC, a regular contributor to The Huffington Post and former co-host of The Hill's Rising along with Saagar Enjeti. In May 2021, Ball and Enjeti announced that they were quitting the show to start their own project called Breaking Points with Krystal and Saagar. Ball is co-hosting Krystal Kyle & Friends. She has also appeared as a guest on networks like CNN, CNBC, Fox News and shows like Real Time with Bill Maher. Ball is currently married to Jonathan Dariyanani, as of 2020. Ball attributes her further fascination with politics to her experience after becoming an expectant mother in the 2008 primary elections and watching the outcome of the 2008 US presidential election during her time in Jordan. She was able to observe how the election affected people in that country and thereby gained an appreciation of the global implications of US politics. She was a Senior Fellowship member of the New Leaders Council. Ball was the Democratic Party's candidate for Congress in Virginia’s 1st district in the year 2010. She lost to Rob Wittman, the Republican incumbent. From June 2012 through July 2015, she was host of the MSNBC show The Cycle. She created the People's House Project in May 2017 to help Democratic causes.
